Erik and Melissa spent 15 years living in Rochester, all of it either going to school or working at the University of Rochester. The mascot for the University of Rochester is the Yellow Jacket. They leave Rochester and buy their first house in Asheville, NC. Erik's first official duty as new homeowner is to mow the lawn. Erik buys self-propelled Toro mower. Erik puts on iPod (the album was Rush's 2112) and begins to mow lawn. About half-way done, Erik mows over a small hole in the ground. Acting childishly, Erik proceeds to stomp on hole, hoping to annoy any said rabbit or mole that lives beneath. Suddenly, Erik feels numerous painful, sharp sensations over his legs and hears an odd buzzing sound. What happens next is a bit blurry, but involves a world-record sprint to the shower, leaving iPod, sneakers and clothes strewn about the lawn and garage, filled with angry yellow jackets.
Otherwise, the move is going well. We are getting settled in and finally have all of our old appliances. The office, meaning the desktop and all the required cords to download pictures, have yet to be unpacked. Hooking up the desktop is next on my list of things to do, and then I promise lots of updating and pictures.

weirdness, my hubby Joe just got stung by a yellow jacket while mowingthe lawn...luckily, only once! But a yellow jacket trap went up immediatley afterwards...we'll see if it works. Hope your welts are shrinking!
